As you condition for golf, stress on the body is reduced and you experience longer more consistent shots, lower scores, less injuries and a more enjoyable game.
What is Golf Conditioning?
Golf is not only a sport; it is a power sport! Golf requires strength, power, mobility, and balance to be done properly and the JT Golf Conditioning Programs develop these components so you hit longer more consistent shots with less fatigue and less chance of injury.
How Does It Work?
Every Golf Conditioning Program is unique and designed specifically for each individual. In the simplest terms we assess your general fitness and golf conditioning level, address any injuries or limitations you may have with your doctor or therapist, consult your golf pro or coach about your swing, talk to you about the goals and desires you have for golf and build a program to make your body an asset to your game.
An extensive TPI physical screening assessing your golf fitness level including stability, mobility, strength, power and balance
A personal history of health, physical activity, limitations and experience
A video swing analysis assessing major swing faults
A consultation with your golf pro or coach if applicable
A discussion of your mental approach and psychological performance
Development of a program to make you a more efficient powerful player
Your Body Can Be an Asset or a Liability.
"I worked out with Jeff at JT Fitness while working in Southampton. My job required long hours that turned into long days. The only time I had available to work out was 5 a.m. and JT was more than willing to meet me 4 days a week to work me out! His energy and knowledge of personal fitness and how to work out effectively for golf knows no bounds. After working with JT for a year, I was relocated to Westchester, NY for a new job. I won the MET PGA Women's Player of the Year that very year. This award is won by tournament points and wins. I believe because of the shape I was in from working with Jeff, I was able to perform my best in every tournament I played in. He was as much a part of that success as my golf swing coach. I would recommend anyone interested in taking the steps to physically improve their golf game, they must go see Jeff at JT Fitness."
